She's going to
SANTIAGO, CHILE
west mission!
And she reports to the MTC on August the 1st. And she's going to learn SPANISH......fluently!
On Friday the 22 of June, Whitney's mission call came in the mail, she was so excited because for almost a week, since last Sunday, she knew it was in the mail somewhere. Every day during the week she anticipated that that was the day that it would come, so when it finally came, she was sooo happy!
But, she couldn't open her very long anticipated letter because Gaila, Grandma, and Caitlin weren't home and wouldn't be home for a couple hours, so she waited for a little while and couldn't take the excitement much longer so she called them on the celly phone and read the letter over the phone, while Gaila cried the whole time!

Congratulations! We think it is so awesome that you are going on a mission.
It's crazy how grown up everybody is now.
Yeah, I know. Everyone's growing up and if they haven't already, they're soon gonna pass me by.
Congratulations Whitney!
Congratulations... I feel old now! Oh and the language you will be learning is "Castellano". It is basically spanish though. You pronounce "ll" and "Yo" differently and add "po" to alot of phrases for no reason. Congrats again...
Whitney is going to be an awesome missionary, even without cream soda floats.
Levi's response to this post:
"Winny? No way jose, Boom Baby, what the."
Levi has picked up some lingo from his aunts and uncles.
Wow. We leave Sunday morning and visit Lynda in the hospital for surgery - and then off to Mesquite for the anniversary - and get back Thursday morning at 12:30 am - back up at 6:00 am to rush off to the funeral - but pausing to check my blog just long enough to learn of your blog and to post the URL on mine - stay up north all day visiting with family and just now stop by here to actually read your blog - and find five comments already published! Whew!!!
So which is bigger news, I wonder - the Hal Heywood part of the clan has a blog? or Whitney got her call? Just kidding, of course. The blog is the BIG news. Congrats, Whitney.
What out Chileans! Congratulation. I'd give you all my missionary knowledge, but I don't have any. Except that Castellano is femi Spanish. But, only when boys speak it, not girls and ladies like yourself. John
Boys, get your Pong paddles and cryin' towels ready, 'cause John Heywood is coming to town.
I mean WATCH out Chileans. I'm dumb. John
Not dumb. But I've heard you speak Castellano.
Congrats Whitters.
I mean, Sister Whitters.
You always were the big sister I never had! The closest I got was John with his Castellano "femi spanish".
p.s. Bryce, make a blog, it's easy! and I miss my cuz. *tear*
This may be a little late in comming because I too am just getting into the blogging. Congratulations Whitney. You'll make a great missionary. Give me your address or e-mail and I'll write. letters were always nice to get.
